DANISSY is named for the two ponies I had in the 'olden days'.

SISSY was an ancient chestnut, bag of bones bought (against parents orders) from the knackery.  Sissy hit the jackpot and lived out her days in comfort.  As long as no other horse came within kicking distance and you didn't try to put a saddle on her she was a heap of fun racing through the bush and along the beach.  That is, of course, after we spent many months putting some weight on her emaciated frame and healing her rain scald and shocking, shocking rope burns.

But a pony like that couldn't go to Pony Club, so a few years later DANNY arrived.... a glorious, 13hh, golden dappled buckskin.  Personality plus.

So in honour of their memory..... DANISSY

DANISSY is situated on 35 acres about 20kms from the beautiful town of Young on the South West Slopes of NSW.

I came here in 2003 for the sole purpose of surrounding myself with animals.  My purchases have often been impulsive and not always wise and there have been disappointments.  But my lovelies are all special in their own way.  Once a critter comes through my gate it is here for life.  Doubtless that seems silly to some, but that's the way it is.

Because of the amount of physical work involved I sometimes wonder if I have bitten off more than I can chew but I am living my dream and no one could ask for anything better than that.
