LIZZY
AKA - Lizzy Diz, Dizzy Liz, Tiny Tink, Tinkerbelle, Tiny Angel
1995
I met Lizzy on a street corner January 15, 1996. I told her a tiny girl shouldn't be out on her own so early in the morning. She followed me home and when no owner could be found she stayed..... LUCKY ME!!!
She's an absolute sweetheart and always a delight. The only problem with Lizzy is that she's not as young as she used to be. She still races around like a looney barking at the ponies and other critters but has to be carried up the back steps and has to be lifted on and off the lounge. She has me well trained. Little love...

BEAMER
AKA - Beamie, Hi Beam, Lo Beam, Beamie Bob, The B Man, My Special Special Little Man, My Little Weirdo
29/4/2003
My precious boy has a list of funny little quirks as long as your arm but gosh he is gloriously beautiful and just overflowing with love...... for me!

Beamer's Tale
Darling boy upon my lap snuggling away the day
Little nose pressed to my neck in his very special way.
Memories flood back to me of the day when we first met
A wary, distant fellow that life seemed to forget.
I was taken by his beauty, touched by his sadness too
Couldn't free my mind of him, there was nothing else to do.
On the day I drove him home he leaned against the door
Casting furtive looks at me, wondering what life held in store.
It's been several years now since he first came to me
But the joy that I was hoping for took a fair long while to see.
His first year had been a dog's lot, breeder's kennels was his life
And before we two would come to terms there'd be trouble and there'd be strife.
For woe the days that followed, the weeks, the months and more
Little bloke needed a toilet and decided on the floor.
The lounge came in for it's share of no. 1's and no. 2's
He'd even rush in from the garden to use the house as his private loo.
I'd take him off to do his biz at all the required times
And walk with him around and 'round 'til I was nearly out of my mind.
But heavens he was beautiful, he had such style and grace
And always there before me was that 'love me, love me' face.
There was another little quirk that developed with great speed
Visitors were not admired, he didn't see the need.
He thought they'd steal the crockery, he didn't need to know them
Didn't want them in his house, and he knew how to show them.
Strange and funny little guy, emotions all ahum
Perhaps in his troubled doggy mind, he thought they'd steal his mum
Now sitting at the kitchen table darling boy upon my knee
Soft brown eyes look into mine, the love is clear to see.
No longer does he soil the floor, that lessons learned at last
He's not so tense when guests drop by, but prefers that they leave fast.
I may call him 'my little weirdo', but it's very plain to see
That I love him very much, as much as he loves me.
